Utilitia Arena, Birmingham

Overall thoughts

The Utilitia Arena is a pretty old fashioned arena venue. It’s cavernous, but with decent sound. The concourses are pretty tight and packed at a full show, and there are queues everywhere. Go to the lower floor for smaller queues though.

6/10

Sound

8/10

Decent. Tiny bit echoey but overall a very good sound

Views

6/10

From the seating on the floor views were OK. It’s large venue so from Block D you are a long way from the stage and it’s not inclined at all. You can check the views on AViewFromMySeat.

Merch stand

There are a few apparently but only two were obvious and they were chaos.

Food & drink

Usual stuff. £7(ish) for a beer isn’t too bad. Brewdog and the usual lager/cider.

Toilets

Pretty good actually.

Car parking

Pre-booking is an option and best. If you don’t pre-book then parking is generally available and easy to get in and out of. About £9 for a show.

Public transport

Not sure.

Ease of getting out at the end

Left slightly early so easy to get out but I imagine if you’re there at the end it’s a nightmare. Pinch points all aroudn the venue.

Accessibility

There is information on the accessibility of the Utilitia Arena at Accessable.

I’m the editor-in-chief. The guy who looks after this whole damn place. And the music you see here is the kinda sounds that I’m into. They’re my questions, but not my answers.
